STYLE = DOUBLE IPA
The story of this beer..
We crafted this beer for one reason. WE LOVE IPA’s. Its big and bold like a winter storm. We call it the Adult version of a Juice Pack. This fun to drink DIPA screams “There’s an orange in my Christmas stocking”. We wanted to bring modern beer to our audience that is aromatic, lazy and hazy like your first trip off the Rock to a tropical destination. Lets say hello to “HARD CASE IN YOUR FACE”
Loaded with late addition hops and we can’t help but set the stage here with this DIPA, the hops are in your face.
Appearance and Taste…
With an appearance and color we describe as hazy crazy, your eyes will admire the flame like the hue of the beer with a soft rocky head. The nose on this beer says BOOM! Your taste buds will fight with the hops as they jump out of your glass. Bright, fresh with a massive hop aroma. The hops man the rudder here.
Pairs very well with anything grilled or with your hard case buddy!

STYLE: APRICOT WHEAT ALE
SUMMER SEASONAL BEER (WAS COME HOME YEAR BUT COVID MESSED WITH OUR PLANS!
The story of this beer...
When any Newfoundlander is vacationing it’s a simple and fair question to ask: “When did you get home?”
Home. Is. Newfoundland.
Our Apricot Wheat Ale celebrates being home, back on the island. For us, it’s more of a personal thing and tribute to growing up and having our grandmother cooking apricots on the back of the stove. She loved her apricot jam! Let’s say hello to our summer seasonal ale we titled, “Come Home Beer”
Appearance and Taste…
When the apricots are loaded to the gunnels, the tart taste has no choice but to grab you like a furious tropical storm. It’s ever so juicy, styled as hazy, and has that tart aroma that will jump over the side of any painted orange dory.
Pairs very well with homemade bread right out of the oven smothered in summer.
ABV = 5.2%
STYLE = AMERICAN PALE ALE
The story of this beer..
During earlier times in Newfoundland, not owning an instrument was no reason not to celebrate & rejoice. Story tellers would say, if a group of mummers did not have an instrument with them, the host for that night would sing “chin music” which is a mnemonic rhyme that mimics an accordion or fiddle tunes, so that during celebration we could dance.
This beer is music to your chin. It is juicy, with huge tropical aromas, undeniable balance, yet smashingly slammable. If a blonde married an IPA, this is their brew child. Categorized as an American Pale Ale clocking in at 5.2% ABV, you soon realize that once you have a sip of Chin Music, you will want to lift your chin to ask for another.
Appearance and Taste…
With an appearance and color we describe as tangerine bright, this beer provides a modern flavor profile, our take on a hop forward Ale, where American Hops take center stage to this kitchen party.
Pairs very well with anything related to summer!

STYLE: ROBUST PORTER
The story of this beer..
This is a very special beer for us at Secret Cove Brewing. It has been planned for many years and our hope is that you enjoy this special release as much as we loved making it. If you are lucky enough to have grown up in a small rural community, when life was simpler, then sit back and fall in love with our latest Craft Beer we’ve proudly called - “The Port au Porter”. For the people who call Port au Port their home and those who visit the islands best kept secret, this beer is for you! Welcome home!
Appearance and Taste…
With an appearance and color we describe as a chocolate lovers paradise, the soft mouth feel, combined with the complex and rich German grain bill provides the perfect roasted character reminiscent of chocolate and coffee. With a firm but med low hop bitterness, this Porter strikes balance between the residual sweetness and the carefully selected highly kilned specialty grains. Who doesn’t love freshly baked homemade chocolate cake, just like your grandmother made?
Pairs very well with soft vanilla ice cream, and homemade chocolate cake !

STYLE = TRADITIONAL BROWN ALE
The story of this beer..
We crafted this beer to describe where the heart is, here at home, in Newfoundland. Like the resilient people who call this land home, and to those who have had to leave to find work, and especially to those who choose to give up the opportunities abroad and seek a simpler life close to family and the island we love, we get it, there’s no place like home. Tip your glass to a beer we are proud to call “Malt Water Joys”.
Appearance and Taste…
With an appearance that jars memories of your grandmother making homemade pancake syrup on a wood burning stove. Curiosity alone will draw you in for a sip.
Clean and balanced with a pleasant biscuit-like background, a slight toffee flavor hidden behind a well rounded balance of caramel and a subtle hint of chocolate. Hops here take a back burner approach. We are showcasing the UK malts.
Pairs very well with a Newfoundland Caramel Log.

STYLE = Blonde Ale
GOLD MEDAL WINNER - 2023 CANADIAN BREWING AWARDS!!!!
The story of this beer..
We crafted this beer with you in mind. It’s a fun easy drinking craft beer for those interested in craft beer but are not sure where to start. Built with familiar noble hops and a grain bill we sourced abroad. We hope to illustrate to those curious about Craft Beer where beer is heading in Newfoundland. As the name implies, we tip our hat to our area code and to a soon to be famous agent James Blonde.
Appearance and Taste…
With an appearance and color we describe as antique gold, you soon taste the roundness and clean aftertaste but without that big beer tang. We carefully dialed the fermentation temps on this one, to bring you a fresh, and not much in the way of bitterness. Its attractive, bright and refreshing. Clean and balanced with a beautiful rocky head, the bitterness is quick, and vanishes with no aftertaste. Unlike your typical lager, this Ale opens up your interest in local craft beer. Hops here take a subtle showing, built on several noble hops with a tiny flare of a surprise aroma addition. We are showcasing the UK, Canadian and German malts.
Pairs very well with Shed or Kitchen Parties!
Style: Devoted Pale Ale
ABV = 4.9%
The story of this beer...
Akin to Newfoundland’s official anthem where traditionally the first and last verses are sung, this Hoppy and Devoted Pale Oat Ale is delicious from the first sip to the last.
Appearance and Taste...
Featuring a signature smooth and silky mouthfeel, this orange delight is triple dry hopped with Classic American hops which playfully represent this very attractive summer ale.
Pairs very well with patios, chips, beach fires, and random acts of silence.
